I was thrilled that Robuck decided to put emphasis on fictionalized Laura’s decisions and choices, which in my opinion was a clever balance to Vincent’s bisexual and nymphomaniac lifestyle. What I really wanted to know about Laura’s story was not revealed until the final few chapters and it felt a tiny bit rushed and anti-climatic by that point.
